School Readiness Programme Communication Services Coordinator

Anna earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of the Philippines, Manila in 2011. She gained her experience working with children in various settings such as private paediatric centres, government hospitals, non-profit organizations and community-based visits.

Anna has received trainings and workshops in the Philippines and in Singapore on communication disorders, AAC (Augmentative Alternative Communication), roles of speech pathologists in the transition of students with special needs, PROMPT approach, narrative assessment with cultural applications, DIR/Floortime 101 DIR Model by Maude Le Roux, Teacher Talk Training A (Encouraging Language Development in Early Childhood), and Sensory Processing to Executive Functioning. She has also attended the first Singapore conference focused on early intervention practice.

She was a consultant speech and language pathologist in various private paediatric centres in the Philippines for several years before coming to Singapore.

She has proficient experiences in handling children with various cognitive and communication issues and she is passionate about continuously building her knowledge in helping children with special needs. She actively works together with other professionals (occupational therapists, psychologists, parents, special educators, school teachers) in the field of special education to provide a holistic approach in teaching children with special needs.

She completed a Basic Singapore Sign Language Course given by Singapore Association for the deaf.

She is fluent in English and Filipino languages.
