Social Skills Training Coordinator
Freya graduated from the National University of Malaysia with a Bachelor of Speech Sciences (Honours) in 2012 and she has been specializing in Paediatrics since. For the past four years, she has been collaborating in a team of occupational therapists, physical, clinical psychologists, teachers, special education teachers and counsellors, in organizing and planning community events for family with special needs. She has also given public talks to caregivers and in-service education to other professionals.
Freya has received training courses in Malaysia and Singapore on Social Thinking® by Michelle Garcia – Winner, Oral Placement Therapy, PROMPT, Speech Sounds Disorders, Counselling (Satir Model), Neurodevelopmental Treatment (NDT), helping teens prepare for the adult world, and on Mental Health, Sensory Processing & Challenging Behavior Perspective with Kim Barthel. She also received training and certification by the Hanen Centre for the approach used in It Takes Two to Talk®.
She is passionate in providing social skills training to children who has various social skills issues. She specializes in conducting one to one and dyad therapy sessions incorporating pragmatic language, Theory of Mind, and behaviour management.
Freya is fluent in English, Mandarin, and Malay languages.
