Therapeutic Play Coordinator
Joyce graduated from the University of Nottingham, United Kingdom with a first class Honour Degree in Manufacturing Engineering with Management and has obtained Postgraduate Diploma in Education from National Institution of Education, Singapore in 2009. She expanded her portfolio to work creatively with children through the Therapeutic Play Skills training at College of Allied Educators in 2012 and has completed her Postgraduate Diploma in Play Therapy in 2014.
She worked as an education officer with Ministry of Education (MOE) for 5 years. Working with children in the local education system enabled her to have a better understanding of children and their problems. She started to work therapeutically in helping children with emotional and behavioural problems in the year 2012, during which she was certified as a practitioner in Therapeutic Play. Besides working with children from HeadStart for Life, Joyce had spearheaded a Therapeutic Play pilot program at two primary schools last year, where she conducted both individual and group therapeutic play with school children.
Joyce believes in the power housed inside each and every child and that it is her calling to facilitate the children in their self discovery as they uncover their personal power to change and fulfill their full potential through therapeutic work.
She is fluent in English, Mandarin, Malay and Cantonese.
