Brenda Boh

Principal Speech Therapist

Brenda is a registered Speech-Language Therapist and clinical supervisor with the Allied Health Professions Council in Singapore. Her work has made a difference in the lives of her many clients. She started her professional career at Singapore General Hospital (SGH), gaining experience in acute hospital and rehabilitation settings. This included comprehensive training in the assessment and management of a diverse range of patients – infants, children, and adults facing challenges in feeding, swallowing, speech, language, voice, and cognitive function.

Her expertise extends across various medical disciplines, such as Geriatric, Surgical-Oncology, Cardiology, Respiratory, and Neurology. She actively collaborates with adult clients facing language difficulties, speech impairments, cognitive-communication difficulties and fluency disorders.

She is also competent in the intricate world of neonatal care, having worked in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and High Dependency wards. In these specialized environments, Brenda was trained to evaluate preterm and term infants, addressing bottling difficulties and potential swallowing disorders. Her further expertise involves assessing babies and children with feeding difficulties, examining their oral-motor abilities and sensitivities affecting their overall acceptance of food. These eventually grew her passion in working with children with feeding difficulties.

Brenda has advanced her range of clinical disciplines to include addressing a wide array of communication challenges in children. These include language delays and disorders, speech sound disorders, stuttering and feeding difficulties/fussy eating.

What sets Brenda apart is her commitment to holistic patient care. She enjoys collaborations with fellow allied healthcare professionals and teachers. To her because every client is unique, she tailors each session to cater to the individual’s distinctive needs, bringing a refreshing and inclusive perspective to the world of speech therapy.

One of Brenda’s core beliefs is in empowering caregivers. She recognizes the importance of educating and supporting caregivers to facilitate the journey and rehabilitation of individuals facing communication and swallowing difficulties. Her dedication to improving the lives of those she serves shines through in her tireless efforts to enhance the well-being of her patients and their families.
