Katherine Sumantri
Speech Therapist / Early Intervention Educator
Katherine graduated from Teachers College, Columbia University in the US. During her time in the US, she worked with a variety of clients aging from preschool to the geriatric population. Most of her time was spent in paediatric clinics and in home therapy for Early Intervention.
She has experience working in the US and Singapore and is also a registered member of the Malaysian Association of Speech & Hearing (MASH).
Katherine enjoys working alongside with parents in counselling strategies to further their child’s language development, running social groups and having a child centred approach to her therapy centre.
Has has acquired clinical knowledge and skills both in assessing and working with children and adolescents with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Down’s Syndrome, Global Developmental Delay (GDD), Cerebral Palsy, phonology, speech and language delay or disorder.
She believes that building relationships with parents, teachers and other therapists is a key component to their child’s success and growth and loves working in a multidisciplinary setting.
Katherine is animated, and cheerful and seeks to provide a safe and inviting environment for her clients and their families
